The outboard motor in question is a Chinese 12hp engine that is easy to set up and use, supplied with a full English manual, extra spark plugs, emergency tool kit and spare water impeller and gasket making maintenance possible. It runs quietly and is more than sufficient to run a small boat. However, there are no available parts for repair or replacements making it impossible to extend the motor's lifespan. If the proper break-in is performed, the engine runs without issues and works great, meets expectations, and offers good value for its price. While some aspects of the motor are chincy and the seller's customer services experience wasn't perfect, overall it is a good investment if used appropriately.
