SeaStar Control Cables Editorial Review
Dometic SeaStar Hydraylic Steering Kit, HK6400A-3 is an exceptional choice for those seeking quality and performance in marine steering systems. Users rave about how this kit provides a significant improvement over traditional cable steering, offering smoother handling—especially noted on a 28ft boat with a 250 Evinrude engine. The installation process is straightforward, although the instructions can be slightly confusing due to various motor makes and models. A minor drawback noted is the fixed position of the steering column, which may require an aftermarket solution for tilt adjustments. Despite this, the quality of materials and overall effectiveness makes it a commendable investment for boat owners.
