The ALPS Mountaineering Tri-Leg Stool is a compact and functional stool with a burnt orange design. The seat is made from a nylon-like material and has no padding. The height of the seat is around 16 inches although the center of the seat is measured to be 14 inches from the ground. The chair is small, lightweight and sturdy enough for various activities such as camping and backpacking, bird photography, working on autos, and standing in long lines. However, some reviewers mentioned that the chair is too small for people around 5'2" and 120lbs, and that there were some quality control issues with the bag and straps.
