répondre: The knife cuts an 11-1/2 inch pass but can be repositioned to make taller, round, or wider bowl shapes. The sizes may slightly differ, but the 11-1/2 inch knife keeps them close to that size. -

Will this cut a 12 inch bowl?
répondre: Based on what I can tell, 11.5 in is the largest it will do with that knife set. You'll have to go up to the next set 16 to get that diameter. -

Does this set come with a handle?
répondre: The first set comes with one but only if you ask for a complete set. The second one ordered did not come with a lower support or handle. The seller acknowledged the mishap and sent the other half (plus the extra charge) and the jury is still out on the handle. It should arrive this week. -

Can someone tell me what I need to buy to start using this system? I'm lost and don't want to waste money. Any input would be great. I have a 16x40 jet.
répondre: There are 2 things to get. The base set and at least one cutter. The base set is the tool holder and the cutters. The knives are used to cut out the cores. There is also a cutter rest that comes with each cutter that matches the radius that is being cut. One other bit you might consider is the sharpening holder for the cutter, it makes keeping the cutter sharp MUCH easier and that is critical for getting a successful core. Good luck!! -

Will this set work with a Nova Comer ii? 11.5� is the largest will it cut smaller bowl blanks?
répondre: I doubt the Comet will have the horses to cut a core. A VERY sharp cutter on the smallest knife set will be required.

The Oneway coring system is highly recommended for those who are looking for a user-friendly system that works well with wet wood. However, it may not be suitable for those who work with dry wood. The base and knives are sold separately, and to make it a complete set, customers may need to spend up to $800. The knife can cut an 11-1/2" pass and can be repositioned to make taller, round, or wider bowl shapes. The system yields one shape, but the woodturner can shape the cored-out blanks creatively. Customers are advised to purchase the base set and at least one cutter to start using the system. There are also videos available on YouTube to guide users.
