Chessex Games & Accessories CHX97246 Editorial Review
The Combat Mat: Megamat (Large) CHX 97246 is a popular choice among tabletop gamers, particularly for games like Dungeons and Dragons and Starfinder. Despite some concerns about the advertising stating it's dry erase when it actually requires cleaning with water, customers have found it to be a durable and versatile addition to their gaming sessions. The double-sided mat offers good value for money and provides a solid base for props and maps. One recurring issue customers have mentioned is the folding for shipping, which results in difficult-to-remove fold lines and frayed edges. However, many users have suggested methods like laying it flat with weights or using a hairdryer to address this problem. Once set up, the mat is praised for its functionality, easy cleaning with water, and suitability for various tabletop games. Overall, the Combat Mat: Megamat offers a large and practical surface for tabletop gaming, making it a valuable asset for enhancing the gaming experience. Some improvements could be made in the packaging to reduce fold lines and fraying during shipping. **
