Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: How do you actually use this thing? Where does its temperature data go?

Answer: Some motherboards have a header for a temperature sensor, it can go there if you have one and you can use it to control system fans via your PC BIOS, or you can pull the data using a program like the free NZXT software suite (or others.) If you have a Corsair Linc controller or other interface hardware that has temperature inputs you can use that: that's what I have. I use an unused G1/4 port on my radiator to monitor the water temp at that point and use that data to control the radiator fans.
  • Question: How long is the cable?

    Answer: 87 cm (34 inches)
  • Question: What metal is the plug? Is it safe for a nickel-only waterloop?

Answer: I'm not sure check the website for the actual product, feels heavy enough to be brass, do not mix with aluminum parts!
  • Question: If this is put in one side of a Bitspower Q-Rotary 4 way fitting, will it block the flow?

Answer: I doubt that it would block the flow noticeably. I have it in a Bitspower T fitting, as a inline fitting for flow in a loop fed by a D5 pump, and I've seen no change in system temps, and no change in pump speeds, that might indicate compensation for significantly greater flow loss vs before adding the sensor.
  • Question: What does it plug into?

    Answer: PC radiator port.
  • Question: Which side is ground and sensor in? 1 input has an arrow on it. What does that arrow identify? There are no directions supplied.

Answer: In most connections, the arrow (which looks like a triangle with a tip pointing over one of the pins on the one I have) designates pin 1. For this sensor, that is the power/input pin. The other pin is the ground. So I hooked mine up with the arrow connected to pin 1 of my motherboard's T-Sensor input, and it's working as expected.
  • Question: How and where does this connect to the motherboard? I have an ASUS Deluxe II.

Answer: Hi Greg, Glenn here again. What is your motherboard model number?
