Apollo 11 Saturn V Rocket
If you are a space enthusiast and looking for an accurate model of the Saturn V Rocket, then the Revell Germany Saturn V Rocket Model is a great option. The model is made of plastic and is in 1/144 scale. It comes with bayonet-style fittings that connect all the stages, including a lunar module inside the third stage and hinged legs. The command module can be docked with the lunar module, and the upper stage of the lunar module also separates, giving you the complete experience of a space mission. The parts come mostly molded in white and need to be painted to get the black markings and other details. You need to glue and paint the parts, and the glue and paints are not included in the package. The assembled model measures just under 32 inches tall, including the base. There is no light kit available for the 1/144 model, but you can find light kits for the Lego Saturn V. The plastic is corrugated in most areas, and painting it can be a bit challenging due to corrugation. You can use commonly available model paints like Testors or Humbrol, enamel spray for plastics or a hobby spray gun for a better finish. The kit comes with water slide decals that are clear and crisp, giving the model an authentic look. Applying a thin coat of gloss after applying the decals enhances the overall look.
