YakGear Kayak Hardware DK1 Editorial Review
The Yak Gear Deck Kit is a great addition to any kayak or even a car window well. The kit comes with six pad eyes, two J-hooks, and 10 feet of 1/4" bungee cord. It is easy to install with all the necessary hardware included, but it is important to note that the kit no longer comes with tri-grip rivets, but rather stainless steel screws and hog rings. Some customers have noted that the sharp self-tapping screws can be dangerous and had to grind off the tips. Additionally, the bungee cord length may not be sufficient for larger kayaks or complex deck configurations. However, customers have still found it to be useful for holding lunch and camera gear or even creating a DIY kayak skirt. Some customers have also adapted the kit for use in their car as a bug-out bag holder. Overall, the Yak Gear Deck Kit is of super quality and adds both functionality and style to your kayak or other setup.
