This product consists of two support arms that are 14.5 inches long and slide back and forth inside a holding case. The holding case screws to the underside of the table, allowing the drop leaf to extend up to 9.5 inches from the table edge. The front and rear holes have different diameters and depths to create an angle, so the sliding arm brings the leaf flush with the table. These support arms are sturdy and hold a lot of weight, but customers are advised not to sit on the drop leaf, and it should not be used as a support to stand. The screws will not pull out of solid oak, but customers should watch the balance with a 25-30 pound load. There is one pair of support arms included, and they can be wiped with 3in1 oil or WD40 to prevent rusting.
