Product Details
- Are you seeking a high-quality, reliable, and durable solution for connecting your Mac to an Ethernet network Look no further than the Thunderbolt AVB GE Adapter for Macs. This compact and professional-grade adapter is your one-stop solution for connecting to Avid Pro Tools|Carbon, offering seamless compatibility with Thunderbolt 1 and 2 ports. This adapter is more than just a connector; it's a game-changer for creative professionals. It supports the innovative use of eight onboard HDX processors and a custom FPGA, enabling you to track and monitor with near-zero latency when using AAX DSP plug-ins. The Thunderbolt AVB GE Adapter for Macs is designed to work with the Avid Pro Tools | Carbon audio interface for music production, which connects to your Mac over Ethernet using a proprietary version of AVB (Audio Video Bridging, aka IEEE 802.1). This ensures that you can connect your Mac to an Ethernet network using the high-speed Thunderbolt interface, even if your computer doesn't have onboard Ethernet. Beyond its support for the Pro Tools | Carbon interface, this adapter also enables you to add your Mac as an endpoint in an AVB network. This allows you to connect to other devices such as audio interfaces, mixers, plug-in processors, personal monitor stations, stage boxes, speakers, speaker processors, and more. The Thunderbolt AVB GE Adapter for Macs supports the low-latency, fully synchronized streaming of audio and video over Ethernet. This makes it perfect for use in professional audio and video applications where synchronization of data streams is critical. The adapter is bus-powered, operating off its Thunderbolt connection, so there's no need for an additional power supply or cable. It's also compact and portable, measuring just 1.5 inches wide by 3.9 inches deep by 0.8 inches tall, making it easy to tuck out of sight or fit into a pocket in your backpack or equipment bag. The Thunderbolt AVB GE Adapter for Macs is compatible with M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max Macs, as well as Mac computers with Thunderbolt 3 ports. It's easy to set up, with basic configuration taking place in the Network control panel, while configuration for use in AVB applications is handled in the Audio MIDI Setup application and control software. In short, the Thunderbolt AVB GE Adapter for Macs is a powerful, easy-to-use, and efficient solution for connecting your Mac to an Ethernet network. It's the perfect choice for professionals seeking a reliable and high-quality adapter that offers fast data transfer and power.
